It was a very windy Saturday in Brandon!  After we took Athena for a quick run at the dog park, we set off on our adventure.

One of our many stops was at the Green Spot Home and Garden Centre, with so many things to see; from birds to plants to kitchen gadgets to clothing; it was a lot of fun.

We ended up buying some Mojito mint which we will have on our kitchen island; the aroma reminds me of Mexico and summer.  We use mint in drinks (including Kombucha) salads, salad rolls and for garnish to name just a few.

We also bought some plant tags (we are sharing a community garden plot with a friend this summer) and I almost bought a frying pan on sale but Cam said we had enough pans…he is  right.  If you are looking for a good quality pan, all their Paderno products are on sale.  The pan I almost bought was $40 marked down from $140.

Cam had a lovely interaction with a bird, I think she was flirting with him.

The Green Spot is a great place to lift your mood; to forget about winter in February or the wind in April. Take a peak, it a favourite place, even if you aren’t a gardener.

The Green Spot is located in Brandon, Manitoba (they also have a much smaller location in Onanole, Manitoba at the gate to Riding Mountain National Park)
